The first lesson I learned as an Adult with a capital A... Credit card debt is easy to rack up — and tough to climb out of. At my worst, I hit about $20K on a couple cards. I got out of it thanks to an ideal combo of a new job, big pay bump, and living with a friend whose father owned the house and wouldn’t cash my rent checks.
